It is hard to believe that yet another Christmas is around the corner. The years are flying past and I'm trying hard to keep up. But Christmas is a welcome time of year. People are especially mindful around Thanksgiving, and throughout the season, to be the hands and feet of Christ helping people in need. We are a blessed country with generous citizens. I'm proud to be an American living in the land of the free and home of the brave. Veteran's Day is a good reminder that we are free due to the brave men and women who serve to keep us safe. A fact I am forever grateful for and appreciate, having had a brother who was a Marine.
As we enter the season of Merry and Bright, the following is a list of the programs and activities you can look forward to in 2026. Please visit our events page to register and for more information on each event. And feel free to send questions through our contacts tab.
Join us for a special presentation to usher in the Christmas season. Sight and Sound presents "I Heard The Bells." This is the story of Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow; how his idyllic life was crushed by tragedy and how this beloved hymn came to be written. Our show will open with Harpist - Cathy Ekeland and will end with a time for Hors d'oeuvres and fellowship. Friends and family are welcome.
The program begins at 6:30 p.m. on December 5, 2025.
Community Blend is located inside The Chapel | 384 Route 57 | Washington, NJ
Fitness Fridays begins on Jan 16th from 11:00-11:40, bring an exercise mat or towel. We will meet in the gym every week. For any age or fitness level. Men and women welcome. Bring friends.
In January we will wrap up the Bible Recap. All classes will have completed a chronological study of the entire Bible. What an accomplishment!
In February our classes will begin a study in Proverbs titled, "The Way of Wisdom." Books will be ordered the middle of Dec, or you may order your own. All classes will be held at The Chapel starting Jan 2026. The times are Mondays at 7:00 pm, Thursdays at 9:00 am, or Fridays at noon.
Our regular groups will also continue:
Mom's Meet - Wednesdays at 10:00. Spend time with other moms, share stories and let the kids play.
Knitters Group - Fridays at 10:00. Any age or skill level. Men and women welcome.
NEEDED: VOLUNTEERS FOR CHILDCARE ON FRIDAYS AT 10. WE'D LIKE AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE EACH TIME. HOPEFULLY WE'LL HAVE ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS THAT YOU'LL ONLY NEED TO DO IT ONCE OR TWICE. :-)
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
