BRRR … Though the Weather Outside is Frightful ♫♫

The fire inside is delightful. ♫ No fireplace? We can still warm up inside.

Psalm 37 is a good rejuvenator for our hearts during gray winter months. Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him...

Winter plows remove the snow outside so we can safely travel. When weather or sickness cause us to be inside more, we also need to call on the plows. This will prevent an internal snow storm. Then, we can truly delight in community, nature, and service. As Hosea 10:12 says, Plow up the hard ground of your hearts. Seek the Lord.  Plant the good seeds of righteousness, [then] you will harvest a crop of love.

Plow our hearts; seek God’s desires; plant good seeds; delight in the harvest.
