The leaves are falling, the colors are vibrant and the air is crisp; it’s the most wonderful time of the year. The earthy smell of crushing leaves reminds me of my youth. When dad would burn leaves in the barrel and make piles for me to jump in. Now I get to watch my granddaughter, with the same zest, jump in piles her dad makes. The goodness of life and renewal march on.
Fall opens the door to a season of thankfulness unlike any other. The blessings of life outweigh the challenges when we look around and reflect on the handiwork of God. That’s the reason God made nature. Complex and magnificent, while simple and beautiful, nature renews our spirits and restores our soul.
As we reflect on thankfulness, gathering comes to mind. Being together and enjoying people is another way God has created us … and blessed us. Relationships enhance our lives. They broaden our gaze from within to beyond. They cause us to love, serve and grow outside of ourselves for the good of others. That’s the spirit of Community Blend and the reason we provide programs.
Here's what’s coming up. There’s a little something for everyone.

Speaking of Volunteers … We have a clean-up job in an old house and need help. No level of assistance is too small.
From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Ephesians 4:16
Where’s the clean up for the old house, when?
