Our country was attacked on 9-11-01. Instead of shrinking back, an amazing thing happened. People came together in pride, in defense, in unity. Flags were raised on homes, storefronts and in empty fields. Together we locked arms and hearts in grief over the many lives lost on this tragic day. Then we took action to regroup, rebuild, and reinforce each other. We chose to stand … together.
Unity is a choice that fosters harmony, action and growth. It’s important to remember how we rose from the ashes, with common goals to benefit the greater good. We become more compassionate when we remember. But it’s equally important to remain alert to the wiles of Evil. Because the devil is in the details, cultivating frustration, confusion, anger and division over time. During the crisis of 9-1-1, an attack on one of our states was an attack on all of us, because we are the United States of America.
Sometimes we just need to look back and remember.
Community Blend is about cultivating a community of spiritual enrichment, relationship, and support.
We’re putting the final details on our Benefit Dinner this Friday.
· Our purpose is to share the news of our mission and raise money to continue helping people in need.
· Our overall goal is to provide the community with a place to belong. A place where they can develop friendships, work together for the common good, and offer a path forward to people in crisis.
Everyone needs another chance. That’s where remembering is important. We’ve all had our share of hardships. The Bible instructs us to help when it is in our power to do so. Remembering where we came from enables us to reach out and help others. Together we can do more.
If you’d like to give to our mission, you may use the donate button or contact form.
